People in communities working together seeking solutions

Creative Arts in Research and Action for Community and Cultural Change

People Working Together Discovering Creative Solutions.....

"People working together across disciplines using varied approaches and forms of the creative arts in action and practice can strive for positive change in our cities by working participatively to address the most fundamental of human needs, the need for a healthy and safe community with water to drink and air to breathe, the need for human expression and connection, the desire to be accepted and acknowledged as a human being and to express a life that has meaning and value.

The arts not only matter today, they are fundamental for the survival of our communities and the vitality and health of our citizens and our cities. The arts in many forms are empowering communities today as citizens seek to discover creative solutions to help address critical social challenges. The arts have the unique ability to open minds to truth and hearts to understanding."
